About
EmPower Pilates
A qualified Level 3 Matwork Pilates Teacher, Emma Power studied and qualified in London with the internationally recognised Body Control Pilates.
With a pre-existing curiosity of the practice and a desire to better her physical health, Emma began her Pilates journey in 2017 following an osteopath’s recommendation to help alleviate shoulder and back problems. She qualified in 2019 and EmPower Pilates was launched soon after. Emma’s passion for Pilates also deepened as she supported her daughter Holly through major spinal surgery for scoliosis as a teenager. Watching Holly navigate the challenges of recovery sparked a strong desire to understand more about spinal health. Pilates became not just a personal practice, but also a way to support her daughter and help others cultivate resilience and strength in their own bodies.
Dedicated to the practice and the wellbeing of her clients, Emma continues to study and complete further courses, workshops and development, recently completing Pilates for the Older Person, Pilates for Scoliosis, Bone Health, Menopause, Breast Cancer Rehabilitation. Emma is also a lower back pain practitioner and is qualified to teach ante and postnatal classes.
